VOLUME OF BUSINESS

Apart from our logistics business, we undertook the following volumes of businesses in the previous year:

Airfreight Business

  • Import – 240 metric tons
  • Export – 20 metric tons

In the current year, we are handling a monthly average of 30 MT on imports through the airports.

Sea freight

56,000 MT in the previous year, mostly of general cargo/others. In the current year, as a result of improvements in infrastructure and relationships, we are doing an average of 7,000 MT a month on mostly general cargo.

We have projected to double these levels in the current year and have designed support programmes to enable us to achieve this objective among others.

We have developed new strategies and are developing infrastructure to position us for bigger businesses which we expect will commence shortly, as we plan to increase our market share.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Hyster container handler

We are licensed by the Nigerian Customs to operate in all aspects of shipping services in Nigeria.

We possess a Bonded Terminal licence. Our Bonded Terminal affords us the opportunity of improving service delivery to our customers and partners and reduce costs of operations generally.

Our container handlers, especially the Hyster container handler, enable us to minimize delays in clearing at the ports. These equipment also help to avoid unnecessary hiring costs which are known to add to clearing costs, which unfortunately are passed on to customers by a good number of agents.

We have recently invested over Two Hundred and Thirty Million Naira (approx USD $2m) on equipment and infrastructure.

RATES & PAYMENTS

Our rates are competitive. Payments to our customers, agents and principals abroad are made through our Liverpool, UK office, which makes it possible for us to make payments abroad without the difficulties associated with stringent foreign exchange rules in Nigeria.

Our staff are comprised of experienced and knowledgeable persons who have demonstrated abilities and have worked in diverse shipping areas in Nigeria.

We continue to review our staffing profile to ensure that it is adequate to meet challenges of the market place and help to deliver the best of services to our customers and partners.
